Cesvi is a non-governmental, international humanitarian organization working for global solidarity in 30 countries throughout the world. Cesvi has been working in Western and Eastern Libya, with support from international donors and cooperating with local counterparts, since March 2011 in the following sectors: i) Protection related issues ii) humanitarian assistance iii) civil society support iv) refugees, asylum seekers and migrants program v) capacity building.
Background on the project
The project “Life Saving Assistance to refugees and asylum seekers in Libya” funded by UNHCR, intends to promote a favorable protection environment for refugees, asylum seekers and irregular migrants in both Western and Eastern Libya through protection monitoring, provision of psychosocial assistance, and management of a Social Centre. Cesvi Outreach Monitoring Officer will work, in compliance with Cesvi policies and Code of Conduct, closely with Persons of Concern, mainly refugees, asylum seekers and their families. She will be in charge of conducting monitoring visits, assessing the protection situation of refugees, asylum seekers and irregular migrants in Tripoli and surrounding areas. The Outreach Officer will also be the focal point for community events.
